If cared for correctly, the baby will become a child after 72 hours and the crib will disappear. The baby is not considered to be a member of the household until it grows into a child. However, if the baby is outside of the crib, the crib is considered to be "in use", and cannot be moved. As long as the baby is in the crib, the crib can be moved in Buy mode or Build mode. The crib and baby are essentially a single object. Whenever a baby is born, it will automatically appear with - and inside - its crib.
